The nearest towns are Soriano - 5 mins north west, and Vignanello - 5 mins south east of the villa. The local village, Saint Eutizio, is a mile down the road and has its own allimentari and a very good and friendly pizzeria.
Orivieto is half an hour’s drive away - Todi 45 mins and Rome an hour. Rome is also easily accessible by train from Orte (10 mins away) via the express Florence to Rome train.
Sienna, Lago di Bolsena and the seaside are all easily accessible for a day trip if you’re feeling industrious, although most people tend to sit and relax by the pool and eat out in the evenings at the many excellent and reasonably priced restaurants around.
